England

This is part of the Gazetteer, which is under construction as part of the work to bring www.englishtowns.net back into support. For the moment, links point to a mixture of entries on the old site and on Wikipedia. Map links point to Google. Photo links point to our original photos on Flickr.

England has the following official regions:

• East of England
• East Midlands
• Greater London
• North East England
• North West England
• South East England
• South West England
• West Midlands
• Yorkshire (The official region of Yorkshire & the Humber includes the North Lincolnshire district, which we include within the East Midlands region; it also excludes the North Yorkshire parts of Teesside which we include.)
